Do sellers still pay the buyer's agent commission in 2026?
Sellers can still choose to offer buyer's agent compensation, but it is no longer an automatic or required part of listing a home following the industry-wide changes to how commissions are negotiated. That decision now gets made and negotiated directly rather than published automatically through the MLS.
