What is the argument against the data center freeze?
Opponents of a data center freeze generally argue it turns away tax revenue, construction jobs, and infrastructure investment that a project would otherwise bring, while giving a competing town a chance to approve a similar project first. They also argue a blanket pause treats every proposal the same regardless of its actual size or impact. Supporters counter that infrastructure and community impact deserve study before, not after, approval.
