When should you walk away from a bidding war?
Walking away from a bidding war makes sense once the price climbs past what the home is actually worth by comparable sales, or once winning would require waiving protections like the inspection or financing contingency that you're not comfortable giving up. Chasing a listing past that point usually means overpaying just to win. Brian Beatty tells buyers directly when a bidding war has crossed that line.
