Why is Charleston down almost 20 percent?
A single metro-wide percentage cannot be confirmed as accurate here, because it usually blends submarkets that are moving in opposite directions at the same time. Charleston covers barrier islands, historic peninsula streets, and inland suburbs with very different buyer pools, so a metro average tells you little about any one of them.
